1. How to pay your taxes in France.

    This excerpt attacks flags 2-4.

Now that you’ve been legally living and working in France for your first year, it’s time to file your taxes.

All French written in this excerpt, and on c14ism.com, is written in proper French, has been provided by actual accounts by expatriates, and you can freely copy/paste/modify to help you in your employment efforts

If you’ve already paid taxes in France before, then the government already has you on file and will mail an already filled tax form to your living address.  You can also go to impots.gouv.fr, identify yourself with your Numéro FIP and Numéro de rôle located on your previous tax forms, and file your taxes online.  If you wait for them to mail you the forms, all you will need to do is compare the tax forms with your bulletin de salaires to verify that the information is correct, sign the form, and, to protect yourself, mail a photocopy by lettre récommandée avec accuse de récéption back to them.

If you’ve moved since your previous tax filing, then you’ll need to contact your respective agent des impôts to update your mailing information. To do so, email the following:

    Monsieur, Madame,
    Bien cordialement,
     Marcel Dupont

The email address formula to mail the above letter to is: cdi.paris-Xe-arrdt @ dgfip.finances.gouv.fr, where X denotes the arrondisement you reside in.  In the above example, Mr. Dupont, now living in the 3rd arrondisement, would mail this change of address notification to: cdi.paris-3e-arrdt @ dgfip.finances.gouv.fr. You should receive the following confirmation email within a few days:
